Prototyping Support
Print-ready and machine-ready files, plus guidance choosing the right prototyping method.
Overview
Prototyping needs a different CAD posture than production: tolerances, supports, orientation and wall thickness all change based on whether a part is being printed on an FDM machine, an SLA/SLS process, or CNC-cut from stock.
We prepare geometry specifically for the prototyping method you're using — watertight, correctly scaled, oriented to minimize support material or setups, and flagged where the prototype's tolerances will legitimately differ from the final production part.
Where useful, we advise on which prototyping method actually answers the question you're trying to answer at this stage — form check, fit check, functional test, or investor/customer demo — rather than defaulting to whichever process is most familiar.
Who this is for
- Teams needing a concept turned into a physical, testable object quickly
- Projects moving from a first print to a functional prototype
- Anyone unsure which prototyping process fits their current stage

Purpose check
What question should this prototype answer — form, fit or function?
Method selection
Recommend 3D printing process or CNC based on purpose, geometry and timeline.
File preparation
Watertight geometry, correct units, orientation and tolerances for the method.
Iteration support
Fast turnaround on revisions between prototype rounds.
FAQ
Do you run the 3D printers or CNC machines yourselves?
We prepare manufacturing-ready files; physical production runs through your preferred print/machine shop or service bureau. We're glad to recommend an approach based on your files and timeline.
